Masonic lodges meet several times a year, and always on the same day of the week. Usually in the evening, but some may meet at other times, for example on a Saturday morning. This allows for members to predict when they will need to attend, and also helps with new members selecting a lodge. Vale Lodge meets in Aylesbury on the third Wednesday in the month, in January, March, May, September and November.

In selecting a lodge, it is important to make sure that their meeting schedule will work for you – it doesn’t make sense to join a lodge where you know you will have problems attending because of the day they meet (there will be others that meet on days ideal for you, probably meeting at the same Masonic lodge room). Of course there are social meet-ups at other times, but the core business of the lodge is conducted during these official meetings.
We are a friendly lodge with a proud history of Masonry and a strong and knowledgeable leadership. We host an annual Christmas party (for Masons, family & friends) where the entertainment is provided by members of the lodge who were/are involved in entertainment (though this is NOT a requirement for membership!). Some of us like to get together for a curry night, and if someone suggests a get-together it’s very likely there will be members who will be up for it. Recently as well as curry nights we’ve done sky diving, karting, bowling & karaoke. There are also a number of other things in the pipeline… These events are not just for masons – friends and family are welcomed.
This is not just a social club though; when we get together at Masonic meetings our focus is always towards the principles of Freemasonry, generating funds and thinking how to best give assistance to those who, through no fault of their own, are in need of help.
